view of the palate shows the surface that faces the nasal cavity. It is covered
by a pseudostratified columnar epithelium, resting on a lamina propria of
loose connective tissue containing numerous lymphoid cells, blood vessels,
lymphatic vessels, and bundles of skeletal muscle fibers.
