Lung (4x objective lens)

This very low magnification image of a section of mammalian lung shows the main features of the lung. In the center of the image is a segmental bronchus, with a wavy wall. To its immediate left is a bronchial vein. Located below and to the right of the bronchus is a terminal bronchiole, which leads to a respiratory bronchiole, which, in turn gives rise to a branching tree of alveolar ducts. Other alveolar ducts are present elsewhere in the section along with numerous alveoli, which occupy most of the area of the image
Stain = IHAB.
