Lung - bronchus (4x objective lens)


This low magnification image of mammalian lung shows part of a large intrapulmonary bronchus and its accompanying blood vessel. The bronchus is surrounded by respiratory areas containing large numbers of alveoli and alveolar ducts. Numerous overlapping plates of hyaline cartilage are present in the wall.
Stain = Hematoxylin, phloxine and saffron
