Trachea (4x objective lens)

This mosiac of four micrographs shows the trachea of a rodent. The principal features seen at this magnification are the plates of hyaline cartilage located in the wall. Also visible at the upper edge of the trachea are seromucous glands. The pink band located around the inner circumference of the trachea adjacent to the lumen is the pseudostratified epithelium. On either side of the trachea are thyroid glands.
Stain = H&E.
