Spinal cord - dorsal root ganglion (40x objective lens)


This image of the dorsal root ganglion shows cell bodies of unipolar neurons. Note the large, lighter staining nuclei and the only faintly visible nucleoli. Note the individual axons extending from the neurons and the parallel bundles of myelinated nerve fibers in between the neurons.
