Spinal cord - white matter (40x objective lens)


This image shows a region of white matter, characterized by the presence of large numbers of densly packed nuclei. The rounded nuclei belong to glia cells, whereas the flattened, very dark nuclei belong to the endothelial cells of capillaries.
