Spinal cord - dorsal root ganglion (4x objective lens)


This low magnification image shows a section of a dorsal root ganglion. The ganglion contains the large cell bodies of unipolar neurons surrounded by parallel bundles of myelinated nerve fibers. The ganglion sits on the dorsal root nerve, which can be seen exiting the ganglion in the upper right corner of the image.
 
Stain = AZAN.
