Spinal cord - dorsal root ganglion (20x objective lens)


This medium magnification image of the dorsal root ganglion shows cell bodies of unipolar neurons, characterized by their large size, pale-staining nucleus and prominent nucleolus. Rows of ganglion cell bodies are separated by parallel bundles of myelinated nerve fibers.
 
Stain = AZAN.
