Pancreas - interlobular duct (20x objective lens)

This image shows an interlobular duct located in interlobular connective tissue near the boundary of the gland and the interlobar connective tissue (ICT). The lumen (Lu) is lined by a simple columnar epithelium supported by a thick sheath of interlobular connective tissue (CT), containing an arteriole (Ar) and a vein (V). Thin septa (Se) of connective tissue extend from the sheath through the parenchyma of the gland dividing it into lobules.
