view of the pancreas shows, in the lower left corner of the image, a single
endocrine islet of Langerhans, surrounded by exocrine acini. A cross-sectioned
intralobular collecting duct, composed of simple cuboidal epithelium, can
be seen in the upper right-hand corner of the image. To the upper right of
the duct is a blood vessel.
