Fundic stomach - Fundic Glands (40x objective lens)


This high magnification view shows the cells that make up the fundic glands: (1) mucous neck cells, with light-stained or unstained cytoplasm; (2) parietal cells, with a polygonal or dome shape and acidophilic (pink) cytoplasm; and (3) chief or zymogenic cells with basophilic (purple) cytoplasm.
Stain = H&E.
