Fibrocartilage (20x objective lens)


This section of fibrocartilage from the pubic symphysis of a rabbit fetus is characterized by the presence of lacunae, occupied by chondrocytes, similar to hyaline cartilage, and the presence of collagen fibers, stained pink-purple in this preparation, embedded in the cartilage matrix.
Stain = hematoxylin and eosin
