Lymphatic vessel and capillaries (100x objective lens)


This section from the esophagus shows a lymphatic vessel in the left center of the image. It is a typical small lymphatic vessel in that it is an irregular space, lined by endothelial cells with flattened nuclei and containing no blood cells. Nearby are several capillaries.
