Blood smear: erythrocytes (100x objective lens)

In a blood smear, erythrocytes have a tendency to associate in pairs or stacks. The stacks, which can become quite large, resemble stacks of coins and are called rouleaux (arrows). Also seen in this image is a basophil.

Stain = Wright's Blood Stain.
