Blood smear: platelets (100x objective lens)


In this image are several platelets. These irregularly shaped cell fragments stain lilac to purple in Wright's and other Romanovski-type stains. They often have a dark center and a lighter periphery.

 

Stain = Wright's Blood Stain.
