Blood smear: monocyte (100x objective lens)

The white blood cell in this image of a blood smear is a monocyte. Although it has ruptured during drying it can still be identified by its large size, and C-shaped nucleus, surrounded by a large amount of granule-free cytoplasm.

Stain = Wright's Blood Stain.
