Rocky Racoon

Back-to-School Rocky

Rocky Raccoon, the real story...

The shrewd Rocky Raccoon gives counsel to Dean Bell regarding policies and procedures in the College of Arts and Sciences. He brings luck and a keen fashion sense to the third floor of Ellison Hall.

Born an albino raccoon to a rural southeastern Oklahoma family, Rocky gained celebrity status when he came to OU from Carl Albert's home, where he took up residence in 1964. Mary Frances Albert, daughter of the former Speaker of the House, presented Rocky to Dean Bell upon Carl Albert's death in 2000.
