University of Oklahoma Biological Station Celebration

Friends of UOBS are sponsoring a weekend getaway for friends and alumni of the station.

The University of Oklahoma Biological Station will host the biennial Friends of the University of Oklahoma Biological Station celebration at the OU Biological Station, located on the shores of Lake Texoma, during the weekend of October 19th through the 21st. 
World-renowned ornithologist, author, and illustrator David Allen Sibley will be the special guest.  Sibley will lead bird tours around the lake on Saturday, Oct. 20th and Sunday, Oct. 21st in the mornings, as well as present a lecture from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the station.  Reservations and fees apply to these presentations.
Other activities that weekend including guest speakers, field trips, an auction, a dance and fishing contest for the children.  Accommodations are available for a fee on a first-come, first-served basis.

All proceeds from the bird tours and lecture, as well as Saturday evening auction, will go towards the Biological Station’s scholarship fund.  For more information on the weekend or to make reservations, contact the station at (405) 325-7430 OR (580) 564-2478.
