Graduate

I'm Graduating in Eight Weeks! Now What?

That's right, graduation is only a few weeks away, and many graduates from A&S are wondering what they are going to do now. If you are that close to graduating, you may want to take a few minutes and register at OU's Career Services to begin applying for jobs. Don't know what areas to look at? There is a nice article published on MSN/Career Builders that helps expand the concept of a liberal arts education and how it can be applied to a career.

If graduation is still a few years away, now is a good time to start planning for the future. If students are interested in nonprofit work, business or international business ventures, the college has three minors to help find a job in any of those areas. The first is the Nonprofit Organizational Studies minor, with a certification program available through American Humanics. The second is the Enterprise Studies, with classes in business, public speaking, marketing and management included. The third is the International Enterprise Studies minor that includes everything in the Enterprise Studies minor with a component of studying abroad.

Take a few minutes to read through the A&S publication The Next Step to get more ideas on what to do after graduation.
