A Fond Farewell to Glenn Dryhurst

Glenn Dryhurst, chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, will celebrate a 40-year career at the University of Oklahoma. A retirement reception will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Frontier Room at the Oklahoma Memorial Union.

Dryhurst was named the interim chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in 1975, and was appointed chair in 1981. His tenure as chair has been the longest tenure of any chair in departmental history, except for the first chair, Dr. Edwin C. Debarr.
