Online Kaleidoscope Auction!

In addition to the fun of the silent auction at the Kaleidoscope Evening Friday, Feb. 25, you can participate in our new online auction. There are five great items that are available only online:

  • OU football tickets
  • a night of stargazing at OU's observatory
  • a behind-the-scenes tour of the Lloyd Noble Center
  • two fabulous Marriott hotel packages.

Bidding closes at 4 p.m. Feb. 18. All proceeds benefit the College of Arts and Sciences Leadership Scholars scholarship program. Bid now!

Kaleidoscope Evening Silent Auction

Along with the online auction, items for the Silent Auction at the Kaleidoscope Evening are featured on our web site. You are welcome to offer opening bids for these items! The highest online bid will become the opening bid at the Silent Auction. Those in attendance at the Kaleidoscope Evening will have the opportunity to outbid you, so make sure your online opening bid is a good one!


Seen and Heard:

Aaron Rodrigue, Eva Chernov Lokey Professor in Judaic Studies and History, will present "The End of Judeo-Spanish Culture: Sephardim and the Holocaust" at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10 in the Scholars Room at OMU. Rodrigue is the fifth guest in the Yedida Kalfon Stillman Memorial Lecture Series through the Judaic Studies program in the Department of History.

Carol Gluck, George Sansom Professor of Japanese History at Columbia University, will give a presentation on her forthcoming book "Past Obsessions: War and Memory in the Twentieth-Century" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History as part of Elyssa Faison's Presidential Dream Course. The Department of Communication is hosting their 16th annual conference Making Connections: The 2005 Sooner Communication Conference on Interpersonal Communication and Influence on February 25-26, 2005 at the Norman campus of the University of Oklahoma. Visit their web site for more information.
