The College of Arts and Sciences established the Teaching Scholars Initiative in 2003 to encourage and support the scholarship of teaching by fostering communication about teaching among faculty.

The second annual colloquium of the Teaching Scholars Initiative will take place on Friday, January 28 beginning at 1:00 p.m. Oklahoma Secretary of State M. Susan Savage will be the keynote speaker and the Teacher Scholar Awards will be announced. The Colleges of Engineering, Fine Arts and Geosciences will be joining the colloquium this year. Those interested in attending are asked to register online at the TSI Web site.


Online Course Orientation deadline nears

Students enrolled in online courses must complete the online course orientation before January 21

The College of Arts and Sciences is offering more online courses than ever before. Students are benefiting from this new technology that gives them the ability to keep their enrollment at maximum hours to insure graduating in a timely fashion. 66 sections are being taught online with a total enrollment of over 1,200.
